Charlotte VM Ottley has an eclectic and accomplished personal and professional background, which allows her to coach executives and institutions through transitions and market development challenges with customized, effective strategies.

Ottley has represented over 265 history makers with new edge strategies. She has authored two handbooks: 99 Strategies for Marketing Success; Personal and Professional Marketing Plan in just 20-Minutes. Her seminars are engaging and participants leave with immediate strategies.

Her career spans over 30 years as an educator; award winning media executive and on-air talent with CBS- and NBC-owned stations, and other radio, cable and print media, while heading her own business in St. Louis, Missouri and Manhattan, New York with affiliates in 11 other cities. She has represented the nation’s top financial corporations during the height of mergers and acquisitions. A partial listing of her corporate clients include Office of the License Collector, City of St. Louis, MO; GE; DuPont; Exeo/PECO; The McKissack Group; and Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation.

Formerly the President of the National Broadcast Association of Community Affairs, she is the recipient of numerous honors. Recently she was selected as one of twenty-five Most Powerful Minority Women in Business in the nation; and received the President’s Award from the NAACP, East St. Louis Branch. Previously, Ottley has earned 4 Emmy Awards; selected as one of Crain’s NY 100 Most Powerful Minority Business Leaders; for two consecutive years won the PRSA Golden Apple Awards for Financial Literacy Advertising Campaigns; listed as Who’s Who in Black St. Louis; and was unanimously selected by students and faculty as the first African American Alumni of the Year at SIU Carbondale.

Donald Trump selected Ottley for inclusion in his book “The Best Advice I Ever Received,” as did Rev. SJ Cook for her book: “Sister Strength.” Ottley has written two handbooks that accompany seminars she conducts. She has been featured in ESSENCE, Sister 2 Sister, Time, Crain’s NY and Fortune Magazines, and the cover story for The Network Journal, Positive Community, NY Beacon, About Time Magazine, and Christian Times and mentioned in countless others including Jet and Black Enterprise.

Ottley holds a Master’s Degree in Communications from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a Certificate in Business Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Center. Additionally she has a Certificate of Clinical Competence and a Certificate in the Healing Arts.
